infuriated

Reasons why I hate this country:

-I've been bullied all the way in school from 7 to 18, my childhood was spent crying myself to sleep, wallowing over what did I do wrong to deserve being bullied. Teachers made fun of me in class, over my 'strange' accent. Another teacher in school pulled my hair and banged my head against the table when I confessed I did not understand her lesson. She was apparently frustrated at my low level of intellectual and decided to vent her anger on me. My school-mates all started laughing when they heard of where I was from, all this and more made me feel really miserable. And it's already a part of my memory which I could not erase.

-The way the locals treat my fellow country mates is appalling. On the subway, aunties stare disapprovingly at us right in the face, perpetually ignorant of the fact that we need to be respected. Uncles smile pervertically at the girls and look at them with sexual interest. Maybe I'm sensitive.

-The way locals treat my family members make me want to punch them in their face. No dignity, the obvious prejudice and stereotype. I hate it. The way they try to avoid coming in close contact with us on the subway. Keeping an obvious distance from us and staring at us, I hate it. I hate people staring, one day I'm going to punch them.

-Even the local sunday papers entertain readers by publishing crimes mostly done by people of my nationality. They did a survey to ask locals why they depise people of my nationality. The locals think we are dirty. Respecting us is a crime.

-I hate the superficial, brainless girls in my school who feel it's an offence to be ugly and to be from my country. They waste their time all day busy segragating me from their cliques.

-I hate the student-welfare teacher in my school and all the other teachers who show more inclination towards locals, is less compassionate towards my fellow country mates

Below is a conversation I had with my teacher when I was caught being late for school one day.

Teacher first scrutinized me then said," What does your mother do, she's a housewife?''

I said ,"No, She's a chemical engineer"

Teacher(half in disbelief)," So what are you going to do to avoid being late again"

I said," I'll take taxis to school"

Teacher( scrutinized me again)," You can afford it?"

I controlled myself from punching her and said reassuringly,"Of course, I can."

Mind you, I was in a prestigious school talking to a teacher who holds a high authority in school.

-I hate the way locals assume you do not speak English.

The pervertic man.
Last month , while I'm on a taxi, the taxi driver turned his head around to scrutinize me 2 times, from head to toe. He looks extremely unkempt, unshaven and wears dark rim glasses which accentuates his image as a pervertic man. Half-way through he wanted to stop to buy cashcard. Well... nothing happened but I was already scared out of my wits. When I reached my destination, he gave me his cell phone number and wanted me to call him out when I'm free. Right.
Ok, I threw away his number.

Hope to get out from this country soon, never coming back. Life is miserable here. My sincere advice to all foreigners, KEEP OUT OF THIS COUNTRY.
